In the summer of 2022, 180 employees from DGI Byen in Copenhagen gathered for an employee day at a climbing park in Odsherred. The entire day took place under the open sky, with ALIVE handling transportation, entertainment, music, and food and beverages.
An active day for an active workplace
When ALIVE was tasked with creating an A-Z solution for DGI Byen’s employee day, we quickly decided that the day should be all about activities.
DGI Byen wanted to prioritize creative development, so we chose Gekko Park in Odsherred, near Sommerland Sjælland, which offers numerous climbing courses and other activities for guests to enjoy throughout the day.
We rented the entire climbing park and set up the area next to the courses with everything from tepee tents and lounge furniture to a wilderness kitchen.
The day included adventure challenges, free-fall experiences, a tour around the climbing park, and communal wilderness cooking in the large kitchen, while the main tent served as a venue for various surprises and entertainment.
As the day came to an end, all employees enjoyed a three-course meal in the large tepee tent, set up with long tables and benches. When darkness fell, the tent transformed into a party venue with drinks served and a DJ keeping the celebration alive until it was time to head back to Copenhagen.
Mastering coordination and registration

This aspect of the event rarely looks impressive in photos, but it’s a crucial part of the overall package. At ALIVE, we prioritize tailoring this to each event, whether the client wants a dedicated app, a website, or communication via email.
