On May 20, 2022, ALIVE ensured security as Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands visited Store Magleby to celebrate the town’s 500th anniversary.
In Her Majesty's secret service
Five hundred years after Dutch farmers settled on the flat lands near Dragør at Store Magleby, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands followed in their footsteps in the spring of 2022. The grand anniversary was celebrated with full honors by Dragør Municipality, inviting locals, visitors, and royalty from two European monarchies.
ALIVE managed the comprehensive security package for the royal visit, including coordination with the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) weeks in advance, planning the carriage route through the town, logistics for the official reception at Dragør Town Hall, press management, setting up areas for photographers and journalists, and creating the playbook to ensure a smooth flow throughout the royal visit.
A complex security task
The event took place over a few hours on a May day in 2022, but the preparations were lengthy, complex, and required the utmost from the team ALIVE dedicated to the task:
