Corporate trip to Liverpool
The employees of a Danish event company traded the gray, unpredictable Danish November weather for the gray, unpredictable November weather of the Midlands in England. But in return, they got three fantastic days in Liverpool, which in recent years has taken its place as London’s hip, up-and-coming, and less expensive little brother.

Overlooked Liverpool has it all
An incentive trip doesn’t have to be all sunshine and Southern Europe. A Danish event company can attest to that after spending three exhilarating and cozy days in the ultimate music city—Liverpool. In recent years, the city has shaken off its somewhat worn industrial image and is now a true treasure trove of exciting experiences, great restaurants, gin in all its forms, beautiful nature in the surrounding areas, charming villages within driving distance, and, of course, a wealth of historical references to the most famous locals of all—John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
Easy transport to and from Manchester
Although flights to the Midlands can’t compare with the frequency to London, getting to Liverpool is neither complicated nor expensive. On this trip, the group flew from Copenhagen to Manchester and then took a rented bus for the short hour-long drive west to Liverpool at the mouth of the River Mersey in the Irish Sea. In comparison, it takes about an hour

From Penny Lane to The Cavern Club
Liverpool is not just the hometown of The Beatles. The city is also filled with parks, squares, shops, and clubs that have been immortalized in the band’s biggest hits. Therefore, it was only fitting that one of the first activities for guests on this trip was a bus tour around Liverpool, stopping at the iconic landmarks forever associated with The Beatles. After visiting the childhood homes and schools of the four band members, as well as Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, the tour concluded at the legendary The Cavern Club, where The Beatles played their first concert in 1961.
The Cavern Club still operates as an active music venue and is the perfect place to end a Beatles tour and listen to some of the bands that perform daily in the dimly lit cellar rooms, helping to keep Liverpool’s music legacy alive. It is possible to rent an adjacent room within The Cavern Club, allowing the group to move between the concerts and have a space to relax and be themselves. To truly immortalize the visit to Liverpool, the company can also rent a recording studio in the city to record a Beatles song of their choice.
- Exciting experiences in a “new” English city
- A versatile excursion program
Easy transport from Manchester - Major experiences following in the footsteps of The Beatles
- English village charm just outside the city
- Opportunity for a gala dinner and overnight stay at Knowsley Hall
Plenty of experiences just outside of Liverpool
Even though there is plenty to do within the city limits, it’s a great idea to include an excursion to the surrounding areas when visiting Liverpool on a corporate trip. This is exactly what the Danish company did, combining a visit to the charming town of Chester with dinner and an overnight stay at the impressive country estate, Knowsley Hall.
Chester epitomizes English timber-framed charm, and strolling down the main street with its many timber-framed houses and the impressive castle, one feels almost transported back to the good old Robin Hood days. After visiting Chester, the guests continued to Knowsley Hall, located about an hour’s drive outside Liverpool. Here, the entire group was accommodated for an overnight stay before enjoying an eagle show and a gala dinner in the most beautiful, stately surroundings.
Gin Tasting in Liverpool
In recent years, Liverpool has become the battleground for a true gin revolution in the Midlands. Gin distilleries have popped up like mushrooms around the city, and in the city’s bars and restaurants, the clear drink, which for many years had a somewhat dusty image, has long surpassed whiskey as the favorite drink of the locals. Therefore, the group naturally attended a gin tasting at one of the city’s new distilleries before heading to Manchester Airport after three wonderful days in England’s music capital.
